TAY Investments has officially launched construction on a new 202-unit residential and commercial development in Jersey City’s rapidly expanding West Side neighborhood. The groundbreaking ceremony, held on Friday, featured local officials, including Mayor Steven Fulop, who joined the project team to celebrate the milestone at 301 West Side Ave.
The mixed-use development will combine new construction with the adaptive reuse of an existing industrial building, aiming to provide a modern living experience with a blend of retail and recreational amenities. Slated for completion in the summer of 2026, the project will feature 20 affordable housing units and 6,000 square feet of retail space, located just a short distance from Route 440.
Yuval Shram, CEO of TAY Investments, emphasized the project’s potential to revitalize the West Side neighborhood. “We aim to create a dynamic, inclusive community that integrates residential spaces with curated retail and amenities to benefit not just residents but the surrounding area as well,” Shram said. This is TAY Investments’ fifth project in Jersey City, showcasing their continued commitment to the city's growth. The firm also expressed gratitude to Mayor Fulop and Councilwoman Mira Prinz-Arey for their strong support.
Designed by AK Architecture, the development will feature high-end amenities, including an outdoor pool, hot tub, spa facilities, a fully equipped gym, saunas, and an ice plunge. Two rooftop spaces will be available—one for commercial tenants and one for residents, with the latter featuring a rooftop bar offering stunning views of Jersey City.
The groundbreaking event also welcomed other local dignitaries and members of the real estate community. The project follows TAY’s recent acquisition of the property at West Side Avenue and Fisk Street, which was facilitated by Yanni Marmarou of IPRG.
As Jersey City continues to grow, TAY Investments' latest development marks a significant step in shaping the future of the West Side.
